Regarding Addressing Questions Prior to Vaccination Part II

Regarding Addressing Questions Prior to Vaccination
Start from the beginning

What is a virus?
A virus is a submicroscopic infectious agent that replicates inside the living cells of an organism. One such example is the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome referred to as SARS-CoV-2/coronavirus/Covid-19/COVID/Covid

How does it spread?
Thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes

What happens if I get exposed ?
You could have symptoms such as the following, fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or more severe symptoms depending on age, and pre-existing conditions

What does a test result mean?
The test result shows if your body has been exposed to the virus or not,  within a percentage of error

What does a positive test result mean?
This test result means that the chances are high that you have been exposed to the virus

What does a negative test result mean ?
This test result means that the chances are high that you were probably not infected at the time your sample was collected. The test results only means that you did not have Covid-19 at the time of testing.

What if I live in a area where there are a lot of cases?
This means that the vast majority of the population has already been tested, which is why you would have this information. This also means that the vast majority of the population has already been exposed.

What does exposure mean?
Exposure means that a person has come in contact with the virus and their immune system has already been exposed to it (identified the virus)

What are antibodies?
Antibodies are produced by your body by the immune system to identify and neutralize foreign entities (such as a novel or new virus). They recognize a unique or different molecule of the virus
What is an antigen?
An antigen is a molecule that might be present on the outside of a virus that can be targeted and bound by an antigen-specific antibody or B cell antigen receptor. The presence of antigens in the body normally trigger an immune system response

What is a vaccine?
A biological preparation that might provide active immunity to a particular infectious disease in some cases, often administrated via injection. It often contains an element that is similar to the the disease-causing microorganism and is often made from weakened forms of the microbe, its toxins, or one of its surface proteins.

Why should I get one?
It is a way to build your body's immune system's capability to fight of a disease. In the case of not having been previously exposed to the disease.

Who does not need to get one?
In the case of individuals who have already been exposed to a particular disease, then that person's immune system has already been exposed to the virus, and identified it, therefore created a natural immune response to it.

Why was it recommended to wear a mask?
The usage of a mask was recommended in the early stages of the disease spread, due to the belief that it would prevent the spread of the disease throughout the mainstream population and prevent a pandemic from occurring.

Why do some people not wear masks anymore?
Many individuals have already been in close contact with other people throughout the country, and have most likely already been exposed to the virus. Once your body has been exposed to the virus, preventive measures are no longer effective for that particular virus.

What is social distance?
The concept was to create a certain amount of space between individuals (an arm's length or more) to prevent the spread of the virus in the early stages.

Why were gatherings blocked?
The concept was to prevent individuals who have been exposed to the virus and remained asymptomatic (no visible symptoms, the vast majority) from spreading it to other individuals unintentionally.

Can I socialize now?
Once a certain threshold has been passed, then the virus has spread (case of pandemic), the vast majority of the population has already been exposed. Those who could not endure the infection have had ramifications, for the rest of the population they have already been exposed and their body has built up a natural immunity towards the virus. For example, going to a grocery store and being among strangers is no different, then interacting with people who you are familiar with.

Why are there so many people doing whatever they want?
Having removed the health mandates in varying time points around the world, it has become evident to a great deal of people that they would no longer be effective.

What does this mean?
For example, a large group of people interacting one day, then being blocked the next day, is not effective in viral spread, because all those individuals have already been exposed to the virus, therefore meeting the next day makes no difference in reducing the spread.

Has the virus passed?
Developing a time end point for viral spread to be relevant (EP) is a concept regarding building a safe environment for people to live without concerns of fatalities from a disease.

What should I worry about?
Determine who has not been exposed and is most likely to have severe complications from infections. Identify a person you trust, and ask what the treatment plan would be in the case of an infection and hospitalization. Determine if you have pre-existing conditions that make you more susceptible to symptoms. If you have already been exposed to the virus, then just practice good hygiene (washing hands) and eat healthy, sleep well, etc., general health practices for a good immune system.
